Soap and Glory Skin Care
I have literally been obsessed recently with trying out new skin care products. I am desperately trying to tame my oily skin and prevent/get rid of those horrible pesky spots.
The products I am currently using are by Soap and Glory which you can purchase from Boots. I have purchased and been using for a while:
Face Soap and Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash (150ml) - £8
Clear Here T-Zone Oil-Control Daily Facial Moisture Lotion (50ml) - £12
The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser (100ml) - £10
No Clogs Allowed Super Self Heating Deep Cleaning Face Mask (100ml) - £11.50
**Note: I have had these products since March and the packaging has recently been updated for some of the products from what you can see on these pictures, so if you look for these in Boots then be sure to remember the name of them!**
So this has been my skin care routine for the past few months and I have really loved it. The first thing I use is the facial wash. I have been using it every morning and night to keep my skin fresh and clean and it does its job well. It doesn't make my skin dry and makes my skin feels nice and oil free after using it.
It also has little pink beads in which very lightly exfoliate the skin when you use it. I would recommend this to everyone really, it doesn't seem to be for any particular skin type and is just a generally good face wash for your skin care routine. I wouldn't say it was a miracle worker but it has been fine for me until I can try something new. It also isn't too pricey at just £8.
After cleansing I then use the moisturizer. I have REALLY loved this! It is so good for oily skin types as it is really light on the skin and once you've put it on your face feels really soft. I have defiantly felt a decrease in how oily my skin is through the day since using this and it works really well with the cleanser. The only bad thing about this is that it claims to shrink your pores with "slow release Poreshrink-3 Skin Perfector" I don't really know what that is, but I haven't really noticed it shrinking my pores. Anyhoo I would really recommend this if anyone with oily skin is looking for a new moisturizer.
The last two products I don't use on a daily basis. The Hot Cloth Cleanser I only use when I have been wearing quite a bit of make-up, not just my usual everyday look. This is purely because it takes too long! You rub it into your skin for a minute or so, then leave it for another minute and finally you wash it off with the muslin cloth that it comes with. I'd say this is a good cleanser but it's not for me, I think it is a little too moisturizing so I think anyone with dry skin would probably like it a lot better. I probably won't be repurchasing this but it does do a good job for what it is supposed to do, it just isn't one of those 'wow' products.
Last but not least is the No Clogs Allowed face mask. I LOVE this it makes your skin feel so so smooth after you've used it and you just feel really clean and fresh. When you use this it feels really hot on your skin when you rub it in, which is a very strange sensation, then you leave it for a few minutes (I usually wait about 10) and wipe it off with the sponge that is included. I try to use this at least twice a week because it just makes my skin feel so good afterwards. I would highly recommend this product!
Overall I have loved using the Soap and Glory skin care products; they all smell really nice and have defiantly improved my skin. However I think once they are all gone I will move on to another brand to see if anything will fix my skin (if that's even possible).
Leave me a comment if you want any advice on any of these products or just let me know what you think about them. It would be lovely to hear from you!
Love Marie
xoxo
